Death Sentence or a Joke?

Justice delayed is justice denied. -Unknown

Even if their is justice in Indian courts, the execution of it take years.. Indian Judiciary has loopholes. Firstly, It is all designed in such a way that it is OK to leave criminal but innocent should not be punished. Secondly. the criminal can use the hierarchy of courts and red-tapism to pass the time and escape.

After great hard work from police, Kasab has got death sentence from the court. This decision of death penalty has to be confirmed by the Bombay high court. Kasab has got right to move to High court against this trial court verdict. Even if he loses there, he can go to supreme court. If he loses there, he can also go for a mercy plea to president. If president doesn't approve his petition then he can stand in the queue as 309Th person because 308 criminals are already waiting for death sentence.

In mean while If Indian Plane hijacked or some celebrity kidnapped... He could be sent back in exchange of the kidnapped people.

In 1994, Indian Army captured terrorist Maulana Masood Azar. He was in prison for five years and then released in exchange of passengers of hijacked Indian flight. After the release in 2001 he masterminded the attack on parliament. Sadly even today , Indian Govt didn't execute the death punishment of Afzal guru who carried out that attack on parliament.
